Make a Lasting Impact on Young Lives

At Bright Futures, we are a passionate nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of children and families in the vibrant San Juan region of Colorado. We believe that every child deserves a bright future filled with love, learning, and endless possibilities. That's why we've partnered with AmeriCorps to create the life-changing Early Childhood Teacher in Training AmeriCorps Program.

Your Opportunity to Serve and Inspire

Are you ready to embark on an incredible journey of service? As an AmeriCorps member in our program, you'll have the unique opportunity to directly impact the lives of young children and their families. This entry-level position will allow you to serve 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday, dedicating your time and energy to creating a nurturing environment for our little ones.

Unlock Your Potential with Meaningful Service Activities

Under the guidance of experienced lead teachers, you will have the chance to further develop your skills in a hands-on setting. Engage children in educational curricula, stimulate their imagination through play, and ignite their love for learning with books, toys, and various interactive activities. As a valuable member of the team, you'll support the lead teacher in creating engaging lesson plans, establishing routines, facilitating circle time, and organizing exciting activities.

Shaping Young Minds, One Positive Interaction at a Time

Your positive attitude and genuine care will make a significant difference in the lives of the children you serve. Implementing positive behavioral framework tools and strategies provided during your service term, you will help children work through difficult behaviors while creating a safe and supportive environment for them to manage their emotions. By modeling healthy behavior and communication, you will foster strong social skills and nurture meaningful connections with the children.
